Misskomik quotes from Machiko sensei's (Machiko Manga School Kemang - Jakarta) explanation, that is an ideal preference of the mangaka. As we all have a diversity of preference, and also the majority Asians typical is relatively opposite (。◝‿◜。) And another memorable is, the detail in the Manga drawings that resembles or reflects the original object

The last feature inspired Misskomik's enthusiasm to explore the style of manga drawing (-‿◦☀)

From the beginning of history, the evolution Manga genre until nowadays, time to time mangakas created an improvisation in the style of manga drawing. Which then became the sampling/reference for prospective mangaka, who will try a new improvisation again, and so on and so on.
Until it was created a variety of Manga Style Drawing that you can find in mangas that are currently revolving.

For anyone that still exploring in drawing (human)characters, and create a characteristic and an outstanding drawing style, Misskomik also includes reference style drawing from many Mangakas and Genre. And choosing which is relatively easy, unique, also interesting to be used as a reference for your drawing style (•̀o•́)ง
And let's learn another specific concept of Manga Style Drawing Characteristic.

MANGA BODY TYPE & SIZED

If you have learned How To Draw The Human Body, you might know the size-per-head technique. For those who don't understand, that is a concept for determining the height and proportion of the body according to the character you want to draw.

For example, Chibi's body-sized is generally 2-3 heads.
If you have decided what size for your Chibi's head you like to draw, then that sized (or double it) will be the height of the Chibi's full-body (without head).
Or, if the sized of Chibi's head is 5 Cm x 3 = 15 Cm is Chibi's full-height.

Leave a comment if need other sizes to explain

REALIST STYLE
* Body posture follows a normal human-sized

To you all who's into drawing the difficult Realist Style, thumbs up!!!
As you can see (from Mangaka's drawing on page 2), the basic knowledge that mangaka/artist must be understanding the body structure thoroughly.
The second basic knowledge, is to understand in giving body-shading and the value.
Just from that two knowledge, you can imagine the difficulty. Using a mannequin without understanding how bodies work is not advisable. Definitely not gonna effective for your drawing results. This has been proven by Misskomik's student who is drawing muscular-realist body style ᕦ(ò_óˇ)ᕤ
But if you are challenged/interested to explore Realist Style, a little advice here, often hang-out in the sports place to enrich your knowledge learn about human muscles in person. More easily attached it to your memory.
And the other thing is neither less important to have a large mirror (full body sized), your body can also be a figure for you to draw (༎ຶꈊ༎ຶ)

NORMAL/POPULAR STYLE
* Normal drawing style is generally semi-realist.

To draw this style, doesn't mean easier than style No. 1 & 3, you know!
For artists who specialize their drawing style into style 1 or 2 or 3 (might be all...??), Misskomik would say they have a special ideal in art. They are trying to be creative, create a figure photorealistically; an art of that require a high level of complexity.
And more of it, that many mangakas polish their drawing's facial features, unique, beautiful/handsome human characters, to attract the audience loves to stare for a long time at the drawings (⑅  )

* For figure drawn beyond normal standards

Generally for their unnatural or outstanding height, but many also add improvisation to the characteristic/trademark of their figure. Many old-school mangas are drawn this way. But Misskomik thinks, this type certainly requires a high level of imagination, right.
Misskomik has never had the idea to create manga drawing styles for a figure at this level (⌣̀_⌣́)
So, thumbs up for anyone in this style too~
